Whats the best route to becoming a Helicopter Pilot?

Im a college grad in Finance working a temp job, I want to accomplish my goal of becoming a Helicopter Flight instructor in 4 years. What would be the best route to achieve this goal? Is joining the army a good option considering i get the 15T MOS or become a warrant officer? Go to a local flight school and become an instructor?

I would go to your local flight school and get your training there. If you go with the military you will have to pay them back by staying in the army a couple of years. I was going to join the army until they told me I had to repay them by staying in for 10 years. That changed my mind. I got all my training done at my local flight school. You should read this guide on how to become a helicopter pilot:http://www.helicopterschoollist.com/how_to_become_a_helicopter_pilot.php
Good Luck
First a 15T is a helicopter repair job, not a pilot. The cheapest way is through the military as in you get your training and you build flight time on the army’s dime versus paying for it from a commercial flight school. and your dime. Additionally becoming an instructor might take longer in the military, as it is not a natural progression based on time
if you go in the army then i would guess you need to stay there for about 3 or 4 years, so go to your flying school and learn there
Military, not just army, there’s the marines, coast guard, navy, and air force fly helos too and since you’ll have a degree you can be an officer. Thats the cheapest way, but if you have 70K to burn and don’t want to be in the service then go to your local flight school.
